Amur Falcon migratory birds roosting in Nagaland. Interested persons can suggest their time of participating in this camp from between the 3rd week of October till first week of November 2015. 

Cost for one person per night is 2000 only, inclusive of transportation, tent accommodation food and guide.

It is the time when Local communities living in and around the forested areas of Doyang river in Wokha district are gearing up for the biggest wildlife event of the year in the state of Nagaland–the arrival of hundred thousands of the migratory bird, the Amur Falcon.

Flocks over flocks of the small winged predator will be roosting in and around the forested areas of the small township that have grown up around the Doyang Hydro Electric Project. The birds come to roost during the closing month of September till beginning of November before continuing on their migratory journey to warmer places. We welcome all wildlife lovers, tourists and local visitors to this mega event as the time for the birds to reach Nagaland arrives!! 




Tour planning in prospect:

Tentative Planned Schedule:
Duration - 3 nights and 4 days

Day 1: 

Pick up from Dimapur Airport/railway station and transfer to Pangti (4 hours drive),  
tent stay at Pangti


Day 2: 
4:00 am Wakeup time..
4:30 am  tea at 
5:00 am  Pangti watch tower, for Amur Falcon watching, 
7:00 am breakfast at Doyang reservoir 
bird watching activity, post breakfast
1:00 pm return to Pangti for lunch
proceed for evening Amur Falcon Watching by, dinner at , tent 
stay at Pangti

Day 3: 
4:00 am Wakeup time..
4:30 am  tea at 
5:00 am time spend at Watch tower, good prospects for sightings of Amur falcon
7:00 am breakfast at Doyang reservoir 
Post breakfast nature walk to Sungro for bird, butterfly and insect watching, 
1:00 pm return to Pangti for lunch
3:00 pm Amur falcon watch session.
dinner at Pangti, tent stay at Pangti

Day 4: 
7:00 am - Breakfast 
Transfer to Dimapur,
